Bookvoed
Intro
Rebranding of the largest bookstores chain of in the North-West region of Russia
The Bukvoed bookstore chain contacted the agency to update its brand. The logo had remained unchanged since the brand's inception in December 2000. The chain currently has 149 stores and is the market leader in the entire region, with approximately 30 million customers visiting annually. A new positioning was created for Bukvoed: "Iconic Bookstores of St. Petersburg." It captures the chain's significant position in the city and sets the tone for verbal and graphic communication. Commas and quotation marks, which frame direct speech, became key elements of the new style. They help the brand express emotion and engage with customers in a fun way, similar to how a book author communicates with their readers. An important goal was to imbue the brand with a distinctively St. Petersburg character: intelligent and ironic. Made at LINII Role: Creative Director
